UK Carpet Care: A Complete Digital Rebuild

How a Suffolk carpet cleaning company went from a neglected website and no follow-up to one connected system.

    The Problem

UK Carpet Care had been trading successfully for years, but their digital side had been left behind. The website was dated and had been built and hosted by a previous agency, with no clear picture of what was actually in place: what was being paid for, what the plugins were doing, or how the domain was set up.

Enquiries came in but nothing systematically followed them up, and the site wasn't structured to be found by people searching for cleaning services in the towns they cover.

The work was good. The digital presence didn't show it, and nobody could say with confidence what was under the bonnet.

    The Build

It started with a full audit: the website, the hosting, the plugins, the domain setup, and the licensing risks the previous agency had left behind, all documented in plain English so the owner finally knew exactly what he had and what he was paying for.

From there, a complete rebuild: a new six-page website with a proper design system in the company's colours, covering the homepage, service pages and the areas they serve, structured the way Google wants. Behind it, a CRM was set up so every enquiry lands in one place and gets an automatic response, and a phased SEO plan was mapped out: core pages first, then new service and town pages added monthly, with paid advertising to follow once the foundations are earning.

This build is currently rolling out, and this page will be updated with results as they land.

    The Approach

The order of work matters. Most agencies want to sell ads on day one, but sending paid traffic to a weak website with no follow-up is how marketing budgets die.

Here the sequence was deliberate: fix the foundations, structure the site to rank, capture and follow up every enquiry automatically, and only then pour fuel on it. It's slower to start and much cheaper in the long run.

What This Means For Your Business

If your website was built by an agency you no longer speak to, if you're not sure what you're paying for or what state it's in, or if enquiries arrive and rely on someone remembering to reply, this is the same starting point UK Carpet Care was at. The answer starts with an honest audit, not a sales pitch.
